I agree with z's Kevin that CBS pulled a Nielsen? tactical stunt by tying TBAA and PL together so PL could pull TBAA audience over. I just wish Martha would stop trying to salvage PL by dragging TBAA into it. If PL is doing so badly, then give it the R.I.P. Then, MW could go back to focusing mainly on TBAA and have all those nice little details and qualitiy storylines back! I hope that this won't offend PL lovers but this is only my personal opinion! But I want her to stay away from the actual scripts/screenplay. I think the continuity (with the obvious exception of "Frequent Flyer Andrew") and dialogue have improved vastly since MW focused on PL. > I hope that this won't offend PL lovers but this is only my personal opinion! Personal opinions should never offend anyone. I tend to be quite compulsive about having them be meticulously word-perfect accurate, but I don't want to look these up right now, so I apologize for any minor word-level inaccuracies. Some of my favorite quotes are: You're supposed to be a heavenly being, not a holy terror. I especially like wee Frankenstein and his lovely bride. Okay, pal, who do you think you are? --I'm *death*. --Oh, *really*?? [Can you tell I *love* "The Sky is Falling"?] Nobody never heard of no coffee in no biscuits! The Angel of Death done killed my car. --And who will carry on for my children? --They're carrying on just fine. Ewww, and something freeze-dried.... The trouble with driven people is that they're rarely doing the driving. Knock, knock. --Who's there? --Aw, you heard that one already. Sometimes the answer is no, and somtimes the answer is not yet. I am not re-trying "Miracle on 34th Street" in my courtroom. I'm sure I'll come up with others that I really like and will want to share, but that's all I can do off the top of my head tonight. :-) Blessed Be, Amilyn * ---- I could confuse them to death; you know I could do that. ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Mar 1997 02:19:14 -0500 (EST) From: AMarsh8597 @ ..com To: tbaangel @ .execpc.com Subject: the book Hi y'all Did people get the last note that I sent? Just wondering cuz no one made any kind of comment. :'( *sniff* :) I bought Martha's book. I haven't started reading it, but I've done a lot of skimming and flipping.(mostly looking at the pics of John, ) Anyway, ATTENTION: AiA fans, I particularly noticed that John has a hairy chest. Woooohoooo!! I love him all the more. :) IMHO hairy chests are VERY sexy. (of course sometimes there is a point where one can have TOO much hair. :p ) Just thought I'd share my observation. :) Talk to you all later, Andrea O:) "Miss Wings" PS Dick it was good to see postings from you again. :) ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Mar 1997 02:43:44 -0500 (EST) From: Finabair @ ..com To: tbaangel @ .execpc.com Subject: Re: favorite sayings Oh, favorite quotes. I *love* good quotes, too. I can only think of a few right now, but given time I could have a *long* list. :-) One of my absolute faves: "The Angel of Death is on hold!" from "Indigo Angel" Tess in "Lost and Found": "Computers! Feh!" Monica in "Jacob's Ladder": "I want to plead crazy." Tess in "Groundrush": "CyberSusan? What kinda name is that?" (Hi, Susan!) Andrew in "Groundrush": "I don't have to jump, Scott. You do." Andrew's entire prayer on the steps during "The Journalist" is way up there for me too, but it's awfully long to transcribe. I guess the part I really like would boil down to "I'm here. If you can use me today, for life, tell me what to do." Amilyn just posted a whole bunch of my faves too, so I won't repeat them. :-) Next? I guess the part I really > like would boil down to "I'm here. If you can use me today, for life, tell > me what to do." That was my most favorite moment out of all the EPs i've actually seen. (I think I came in around the end of the 2nd season so I missed several EPs.) Just seeing the honesty John portrayed in the words he spoke gave me alot of strength to face what I was going through at the time and continue to go through. I love Andrew's character...it often has such a different flavor to it, and therefore a different view of the situation. I really enjoyed last week's episode, but my own personal opinion is the trio works best with just the three of them, and Sam on the side every once in a while. There were just a few too many angels last week for me. Maybe because i'm having a hard time swallowing Callisto (Celeste) as an angel (sorry guys, I love Xena and Hercules). I liked the intimacy of the trio (Della, Roma, and John) mostly because Tess and Monica work so well together, yet Andrew puts that little bit of masculine touch and perspective on the events at hand. I would never want to go back to just Monica and Tess, but I'm finding myself a little hesitant in accepting new angels in the every week script. I too have to say I've enjoyed PL EPs, but I wish Martha would find someone to take over that effort for her so she can concentrate more on TBAA. I used to find deep meaning in my life with every episode...now I feel they affect me more on the enterntainment level than the spiritual level. Here's to great ratings and deeper scripts! ===================================================================== In Love and Light, Sky Dancer ===================================================================== http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/3471/ ===================================================================== * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Virginia Beach, VA ---- Head for the Beach!!!! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ===================================================================== ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 15 Mar 1997 04:33:14 -0500 (EST) From: AMarsh8597 @ ..com To: skydancer @ .z.net, tbaangel @ .execpc.com Subject: Re: favorite sayings While we're quoting our fav sayings, one of Celeste's better lines(yes I'm shocked that I actually like something of Celeste), was in the ep about the magician(title?) when after receiving the "holy angel glow", says in a innocent, angelic manner "Wow I must've said something good".
