Since I'm still kinda new to watching TBAA, I can see why you guys are all "hooked"! :) What wonderful "speaches" Roma gss. to make and I just love it when Della calls her "Angel girl". That dessert Roma made at the end was hilarious! Looks like something my 6 year old stepdaughter would make and actually eat! Also, have we decided which server we're going to have the chat on? What will be the name of the room? Who will run the room? (I myself use mIRC and I love it. I haven't had much success with Comic Chat.) What night or nights would we chat? What time would we chat? If I ask another question will you all slap me? teeheee ;) Mariann ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Mar 1997 13:50:05 -0800 From: Richard Treadwell To: TBAAngel @ .execpc.com Subject: TBAA Cherry Cola, Chocolate Sundae, Mocha Latta, and french fries.... I should probably begin by reintroducing myself. I am a 20 year old college student who lives in Alaska who absolutely loves TBAA. I am so glad that a show like this is on the air. I like quite a few things about touched by and angel. One important thing I like is that they try to stay as close as they can to what we know from the bible. There are some comments I would like to mention that I tried to write before but sort of got garbled. One is that there was a gentleman say how he disliked having the two shows TBAA and Promised Land jumping back and forth. Well I personally think it is great that they can mesh the two shows so easily. I also would like to say that I feel and IRC would be great. personally a text based based one but that is just because I hate having to reload pages on my nss.cape. oh well thanks for letting me chat. sincerely your from the north, Brian K (tsbfk @ .ss..edu) ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 17 Mar 1997 18:31:51 -0500 (EST) From: Finabair @ ss.com To: TBAAngel @ .execpc.com Subject: Fwd: RE: tbaangel-d Digest V97 #11 Just forwarding mail that didn't quite make it through to the list again. :-) - Jennie --------------------- Forwarded message: From: TSBFK @ .ss..edu (TSBFK) To: tbaangel-d-request @ .execpc.com Date: 97-03-17 16:00:39 EST hello agian, this is brian in alaska I feel that a Irc chat room would be best I have a hard time using nss.cape and idividually have reload pages text based Irc I think would be good. Monk" To: TBAA List Subject: Have You Seen Me? & IRC Howdy all, It's time to add my comments about Sunday's episode. In my opinion it was the best one in a long time. It had a good mix of Monica, Tess, and Andrew. I liked the joining of hands in the beginning and end and the clearly defined duties of each angel. I also enjoyed the ending bit with the "reward." I'm afraid we're in for a long line of repeats. This was the 20th episode of the season. Usually, a television season consists of 22-24 episodes so I figure they'll be saving the rest for May sweeps. Hopefully, CBS has figured out what a great product they have and will make more than the regular number of episodes. I've seen lots of messages discussing the IRC. Nobody has actually come out and said which channel and which network should be used. I suggest using the undernet and the channel #TBAA. Any IRC software can be used, but the server must have undernet in it's name. Some of the undernet servers are: davis.ca.us.undernet.org, austin.tx.us.undernet.org, dallas.tx.us.undernet.org, springfield.mo.us.undernet.org, and others so named. We can plan to meet on the undernet on #TBAA Sunday night after TBAA or just whenever one has the opportunity. Objections? Several fans have commented about "Callisto" as an angel. I was also a little skeptical about Hudson portraying an angel. {I thought perhaps Hudson might portray a mischievous "fallen" angel like "Kathleen" (Jasmine Guy).} But I tried to anticipate and view the Feb 9th episode with a completely open mind, not knowing what to expect... IMHO, Hudson has done an excellent job portraying Celeste in the manner dictated by the TBAA script & director. Some fans did not like the initial timidity written into the TBAA script. {E.g., so much time with Celeste hiding in that trunk.} But I thought everything was plausible and endearing, considering the "cherub child" premise... Furthermore, I thought Hudson achieved a very lovely enchanting "angelic" appearance & demeanor during her first TBAA episode. And it takes a very talented actress to be convincing *both* as maniacal "Callisto" and cherubic "Celeste".... Thanks, I've enjoyed sharing my initial views with you, Mich "No WAIT!.... I would have preferred to see her as an evil character on TBAA. But, I know actors hate to be typecast, and if Callisto stays dead, she'll need work. >Furthermore, I thought Hudson achieved a very lovely enchanting >"angelic" appearance & demeanor during her first TBAA episode. I read about some people mentioning that this past Sunday's TBAA episode had the "flavor" of the old TBAA we knew from first season. I totally agree. I actually became a little bit emotional at the end, something I did not experience for a long time. Perhaps Martha heard us???? I hope TBAA continues this trend! I also want to mention that I am an "Early Edition" fan too. This show has a unique premise and had interesting plot lines. I never figure the ending, which I really like. The writers there, are doing a good job of coming up with interesting stories. Hopefully, it won't be cancelled due to low ratings, since it being a new show this season.
