After seeing her in leather armor, that term will never cross my mind. > > Well Kevin, Thanks for sharing your honest opinion about Hudson's portrayal of Celeste... Nevertheless, I honestly never thought about "Callisto" or "leather armor" during the entire February 9th episode. I never thought about Callisto during the first scene while Celeste was sitting on the bench with Tess. And I never thought about Callisto while Celeste was confronting Eric in the junk yard. And I never thought about Callisto during any scenes in between... But if Callisto was prominent in your thoughts during the "Angel of Death" episode, then you ARE saying Hudson did a poor job of acting, IMHO. And if most of the TBAA audience got the same impression, then Hudson did a poor job of acting, especially if TBAA fans who watch the Xena:WP series think about Callisto when Celeste is on their television screen... But IMHO, absolutely nothing in Celeste's appearance or demeanor reminded me of Callisto. And that's also why I enjoyed and appreciated Hudson's portrayal of cherubic Celeste. IMHO, Hudson was very convincing as a "cherub child" becoming a new angel caseworker. BTW, an open mind always helps a little too... :-) {And congratulations for not flaming Promised Land.} Mich "People?.... Oh, oh no.. No, I don't think that I'm quite ready for people yet.. I think.. I think maybe I'm.. I'm gonna go back to heaven..." - Celeste speaks to Tess, expressing timid cherubic reservations. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 20 Mar 1997 09:00:03 -0400 From: Mary_Ellen_McCaver @ .D.com To: TBAAngel @ .execpc.com Subject: Re: hello again In the interview on the old TBAA web page it said that Roma was raised in Belfast as a catholic. In fact, she has a brother who is a preist. I don't know if she is currently a practicing catholic or not. If she is NOT practicing today, I personally have trouble calling her a catholic. Remember in one episode she said "Faith isn't something you inherit from your parents like your eyes or your nose." I forget the exact words to the next line but it was something like "it is yours to establish with God". I am open to other opinions on this subject,, but I suggest it be outside of the TBAA group. Could whoever it was that wrote them all down the the EP#s please resend that post to me via E-Mail? I'm trying to organize my video tapes, so I figured it would be a good idea to actually put the EP name on it.
