Although I don't think that's the way TV usually works (due to tight budgets shooting extra footage usually isn't done), my suspicions were heightened when I re-watched Andrew's scenes and heard Dinah say the line "I said some pretty rotten things to you." Now, before this point, I don't think she ever even talked to Andrew directly, much less said rotten things to him. And was I the only person who thought after Andrew got in the car that there'd be some kind of scene where he tried to talk to Dinah? Did he just sit in the back seat in silence all the way to the mountain?? BTW, JustReno, I'm not entirely sure but I don't think there really is a Chetwyn Point battlefield. Those signs did not look like they came from the National Park Service to me! I'll have to look it up though. ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 May 1997 07:34:01 -0400 (EDT) From: DelanySis1 @ . .addy.com To: tbaangel @ . .addy.com Subject: Last Night's Ep and Other Stuff I have to admit I was kinda disppointed at John's limited PL screen time-but then, they probably did this ep while TBAA was shooting too, so he probably didn't have a lot of extra time-but didn't the commercials make it look like he would be heavily involved? Darn clever, those CBS promotion execs... JustReno was asking if the battle they mentioned last night was real-I don't know, but I kind of doubt it-the signs they showed didn't look like National Park Service signs-but I'm no expert on every Civil war battle, of which there were thousands, in some really out-of-the-way places nobody ever heard of. Unfortunately, most tiny battlefields are now parking lots and mini-malls-only the really big ones have survived. As far as getting John into a Confederate uniform, reno-I'm for that! :) Actually, I've been trying to figure out a way to get him at the battle of Gettysburg-I guess he could be a caseworker for one of the civilians or something-if Tess was there, too, that could be really interesting since the town was occupied by the Confederates during the battle and they sent every black person they could find into slavery- Monica couldn't be in this story, since she hadn't met Tess or Andrew yet (unless she was involved in some other way-hmmm, what would she be doing in 1863?) The Halloween ep may be the closest we ever get to seeing Our Gang in the past-but that would be interesting, wouldn't it? Later!
