A mailing list is one way that people discuss things via the Internet. It uses your e-mail to get other people's comments to you. Persons interested in joining a mailing list 'subscribe' to that mailing list by sending their addresses to a central computer or person who stores a list of the e-mail addresses that the mail should be sent to.
Everyone who is subscribed to a mailing list may send their comments and discussion to everyone else on that list by sending e-mail messages to a central address. The computer at that address receives the e-mail and sends it back out to all the addresses on the subscription list. Subscribing and unsubscribing is a simple matter of adding your address to that list or removing it from that list.
There is no cost to you to subscribe to the list; all I ask is that you abide by some basic rules.
If you do subscribe, you'll receive mail from everyone subscribed to the list, but they won't know who you are unless you 'post' a message, or send e-mail to the list, yourself.
As of summer 1998, we have approximately 380 subscribers to this list from all over the world. Most of those who subscribe are able to receive 'Touched By an Angel' at home, but some fell in love with the show while on vacation or before moving to a place that doesn't carry it and joined the list to find out what's happening with it since they can't watch. Everyone's welcome, and everyone has a unique viewpoint about the show. We can learn a lot from each other, just by listening. We *do* try to keep the discussion centered around some aspect of the television show, but that leaves us a lot of topical leeway and it's fascinating to see what different people think. So that is what this list is here for.
